ANIMAL TRACKS - Identify different animal footprints

WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Looking eyes

STEPS
1. This experiment is best done at the beach or park where there is lots of dirt.
2. Carefully walk around, looking at the ground and try to find some footprints or animal tracks.
3. Try to identify which animal made the footprints. Some questions you you might think about are, are the footprints next to each other, meaning the animal jumps like a kangaroo. Are they big or small?
4. Sketch the footprints and tracks so you can investigate more when you get home.

WHAT IS THE SECRET?!!!
The way which animals move determines the different types of tracks they leave. Some animals walk, some jump and some slither, can you come up with a list of animals that move in these different ways?
